DJ Amo was born and raised in New York City, Uptown Harlem of parents of Puerto Rican & Dominican heritage.

Now living in Orlando Florida since 2004.

DJ Amo started DJing in 1984 at the age of 10 yrs old by the age of 15 DJ Amo became one of 90's top NYC DJ's. Dropping Mixtapes, DJing Block parties School Yard Jamz and Basement Jamz. DJing along side local DJ's like Ron G, Chill Will FTE, Grand Shocker, Kid Capri & DJ Doo Wop. DJ Amo Started Rocking Block Parties and Jamz With 3 Turntables doing live Blends something that at the time no one really was doing..The name DJ Amo started to spread about this young DJ using 3 turntables live when he mixes and clubs started wanting to hear Amo do his thing. by the age of 18 DJ Amo was Rocking Club Dance Floors all around NY & NJ. Just a Few Clubs that DJ Amo was the resident DJ for in New York in the early 90's was Ego Trip, Mars, The Tunnel , Roseland, The Power House, The Fever, Octagon, Crane Club, Cat Club, California Club, Home Base, Visions, The Marquee, The Kiwi Club, The Warehouse, The Palm Tree, Tempo, The World, The Bank, The Movement, Palladium, Limelight, Moon Lighting, Nightlife,The Oasis and the List can go for ever. Amo did guest DJ spots for Radio stations like WNYU 89.1 FM and  in the Summer of 93 for WBLS 107.5 Kiss FM for The Lunch House Mix at noon & did Hot 97 Midnight Rave DJing Live from Roseland and live from Limelight.

By 1997 DJ Amo Quit DJing and went to NYU to study film & music production. after finishing school DJ Amo became an intern at chung king studio before opening Reloaded Studio. in 2004 Amo moved to Orlando Florida and opened a studio. due to the lack of clients DJ Amo sold it. in 2008 DJ Amo Started to DJ Again in Florida Making a Name for him self Fast. Hooking up with AV8Records.com & ClubBangaz.com and started to produce Party Breaks, Mashups and Blend Remixes. DJ Amo Has 9 Remixes on Clubbangaz.com top 50 Most Have Remixes. DJ Amo's Online Radioshow on Worldfamousradio.com Mondays 6pm & 8pm became an instant hit showing off his Live Blending and Remixing Skills. Due to the Shows Popularity Amo was asked if he can start making mixtapes. DJ Amo hooked up with Numixtapes.com and agree to an Mixtape Distribution Deal. DJ Amo's After Party Blends Vol.3 became the Highest Selling Mixtape that numixtapes.com have had and been mixtape of the month for 8 months in a row being replaced by After Party Blends Vol.6. DJ Amo mixtapes has been on the top 5 pick list since 03/2009. DJ Amo's Name started growing in a Rapid Pace and Started Getting Nominated for many Mixtape Awards. Nominated for 2 Latin Mixx Awards for 1. Best Blend DJ & 2. Best Mixtape Collabo for Marvelous Blends Vol.1 also 2009 DJ Amo received 4 Southern Ent Award Nominations for 1.Best Blends on a Mixtape, 2. Best Reggae/Reggaeton Mixtape, 3. Best Dance/Party Mixtape, 4. Best Mixtape Duo/Team. in just 7 months DJ Amo is Being Compared to some of the top DJ's out.
