Angel “El Guru” Vera” highlights Latino culture in Major League Baseball on MLB TV

The multifaceted entrepreneur Angel Vera, better known as “El Guru” hosts the new series “The Finest Life in Baseball.” MLB ORIGINALS will broadcast the series on its YouTube platform, highlighting Latin culture and showing what Latino players do on and off the field.

The show has the participation of Francisco Lindor, Willy Adames, Adrian Beltré, Jorge Soler, and Andre Ethie, and we close the first season of the series with Néstor Cortés. In the series “La Vida Más Fina del Béisbol,” we see “El Guru” with the baseball players getting a cut at the Barbershop, learning to dance Salsa in the city of Miami playing dominoes or at the celebrity softball game while stopping to grab a bite to eat as they talk about culture, foods, and music.

“Since I was five years old, my only dream was to be a Major League Baseball player and for that reason, working with the MLB organization, chatting with stars and baseball legends is a goal accomplished,” says El Guru, who is also the founder of the urban music media outlet, Rapetón.

“When I decided to host this show in MLB, I was also thinking about the young people who follow me and know me for what I do in the urban genre. I want them to see that being a major league player is cool too. Right now, young people have more distractions than ever,, and that is why we cannot let the passion for sport in general die”, he concluded.

Angel Vera is also a radio host on Apple Music and recently joined Yandel to create the record label “Rapetón Approved,” which focuses on supporting emerging urban artists. Great artists such as Villano Antillano have already come out of this project.

From a Day in the Life with Francisco Lindor! Francisco Lindor cuts it up with Angel “El Guru” Vera to discuss the people and passions that help “Mr. Smile” to time around the city of Miami with Jorge Soler, who shares firsthand accounts about living in Miami as a Cuban. Additionally, El Guru hangs out with one of the best 3Bs of recent memory, former player and legend Adrian Beltre, who shows off his life in LA, where he has been hanging since he retired from MLB. He continues to crack everyone up, just like he did during his Major League career! It doesn’t stop there, as El Guru learns salsa dancing with Brewers star Willy Adames, it continues with Andre Ethier on the field at Celebrity Softball as Andre Ethier hangs with El Guru and highlights significant points of his career. The innovative storyteller concludes the season with an epic episode filmed in the NYSC boxing gym, featuring none other than Yankees pitcher Néstor Cortés.
