Anuel AA, one of the great leaders of urban music in recent years, surprised his millions of followers this Friday, September 16, with his new single Brother, a song produced by Hydemiyabi, Dim Cruz and EQ, with which he promises to reach the first places in the preference lists as they are used to.
The song, available with its music video on all digital platforms, fuses trap with the sounds of R&B, resulting in a novel mix in the trajectory of the Puerto Rican singer, who is about to turn 30.
Regarding Brother’s lyrics, it is worth noting that it alludes to the importance of human empowerment and faith in God as one of the tools to make one’s way in life and be protected.
“I am very pleased with the result of this video, it is exciting to collaborate as a director on my own music videos. I hope that my fans enjoy this production and listen to this fusion of rhythms that unites the best of two worlds,” Anuel said.
With more than 20 nominations throughout his career, he now returns to the Billboard Latin Music Awards ceremony as a nominee for Top Latin Albums and Favorite Urban Artist, a category in which he competes with his colleagues Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Ozuna and Rauw Alejandro.
As is traditional, the gala recognizes the most popular albums, songs and performers of Latin music, who in the last year stood out among the most listened to and successful, according to information obtained from the weekly listings of the famous magazine Billboard. The ceremony will take place at the Wastco Center in Coral Gables on Thursday, September 29 and will be broadcast live on Telemundo.
“It is always and will continue to be an honor to receive this news, because it means that my fans continue to listen to my music and that makes me want to continue. Thank you once again,” said the singer, who recently went on a successful concert tour of Europe.
And while Brother receives dozens of visits on YouTube, a few hours after the premiere, his single Malo, along with Zion and Randy, already has more than 18 million views on the same channel and around 15 million on Spotify.
