The twists and turns of life! After her time as a participant in “The X Factor“, in 2012, along with her colleagues from Fifth Harmony, Camila Cabello is now a coach of the talent show “The Voice“. The singer addressed this new responsibility in her musical career in an interview with People.
The artist said that although she is intimidating at times, she is sure that she has what it takes to mentor her contestants and lead them to the pinnacle of success.
«I know that I have something to offer and as a coach I have to be as useful as possible. I’ve been doing this for 10 years and I’ve had extreme situations where it all happens all at once. So I’ve had to gather a lot of knowledge in a short period of time,” she recounted.
«Beyond my time on ‘The X Factor’, more in my solo career, I learned a couple of things … Like for example methods to control my nerves, because sometimes the jaw and the body tense and the notes do not they come out as they should… This all comes from my entire 10 years as a singer,” he said.
Likewise, Camila Cabello commented that although this has represented a challenge, she does not feel so pressured, but that she is “sweeping”.
The next season of the show will premiere Monday, September 19 on NBC, according to the network’s website.
In a video published by the program, the interpreter of “Havana” detailed the characteristics that she looks for in her apprentices for this season. “I’m looking for people with potential outside of this program and to mentally visualize them on a record. The best music comes from diversity and representation and also from having all kinds of people telling their story through music,” was part of what the artist said.
The main coaches of the show are John Legend, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, who describe the 25-year-old interpreter as a vibrant, fresh person, with good energy and with a lot to contribute.
