Carlos Vives Nominated at The Grammys for “Vives” for “Best Latin Pop Album”


Colombian superstar, Carlos Vives has signed up for a new American Grammy nomination in 2019. The category in which he will compete will be Better Latin Pop Album for his most recent album “VIVES”, which was announced this morning by the Recording Academy ™ .

“Vives” has just been awarded the Latin Grammy and has exceeded more than 2 billion streams globally. His singles like “La Bicicleta” with Shakira have won more than 17 Platinum Records. And already the album is Diamante in the USA and Doble Platino in Colombia. “Robarte un Beso” has surpassed the trillion hits on YouTube and has won gold in the US.

“Vives” has had hits on the Hot Latin Songs charts in the Top 25 and “La Bicicleta” entered the Hot 100 list.

The 12th time Latin Grammy winner and two-time American Grammy winner, he has also achieved 18 # 1 radio hits in the United States and 30 sold outs with his last tour in the United States.

The Recording Academy will deliver the Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 10, 2019, live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast on the CBS television network from 8:00 am to 11:30 pm ET / 5:00 am – 8:30 pm PT.
