CNCO SURPRISES ITS FANS WITH THE PREMIERE OF ‘LA EQUIVOCADA’

CNCO will premieres their new song, La Equivocada, on April 7th. This is how they have announced it through their social networks, making their fans await an important announcement. It is the third single released by the quartet after the departure of Joel Pimentel’s group last year. It will be part of the next album, although there is no upcoming information about its release. The members of the band have said that it will be a more mature album and will be produced by the artist Wisin.

CNCO‘s last album, Déjà Vu, was released when the group was still a quintet, in February 2021, with songs like So in love, My eyes cry for you and Only you matter. Shortly after, Joel Pimentel announced his departure from the group by his own decision, following in the footsteps of other boyband or girlband artists, such as Zayn Malik or Camila Cabello.

The Reggaeton Lento artists debuted as a quartet launching Toa la noche, a song produced, like La Equivocada, by Wisin. With the start of the new era they wanted to make it clear that they were trying to grow and show their fans that they have their own musical styles.

In September 2021, they collaborated with Alex Rose on Pa’ Que Guaye. A theme with which they intended to extend the summer, making a single with very catchy reggaeton sounds. The last release before La Equivocada was Party, Humo y Alcohol (PHA), a more mature song with a video clip that incorporates a more eighties aesthetic, something very different from what the group had been seeing to date.

In addition to being on tour, the quartet’s last public appearance was at Premios Lo Nuestro. The Latin boyband won three of the most important awards of the night: Best Song, Best Group and Best Pop Album. They made a performance singing their latest release Party, Humo y Alcohol (PHA), making it clear that they continue to be one of the most influential Latin groups in recent years.
