COASTCITY releases a risqué ode to those who have found themselves at the crossroads of desire and infidelity. “Nadie Es Santo” tells the story of two people in committed relationships dancing with sin and flirting with the idea of letting desire decide their future. The bilingual singleisthe first of a three-part song series. The duo, who produced and co-wrote the record, will be releasing two more follow up singles that expand the song’s narrative both sonically and lyrically whilecontinuing to imprint their authentic Caribbean Soul sound in both the Latin and general market spaces.
“A mature, real life and touchy subject that a lot of us deal with but no one wants to speak of. For this record, we sat down with longtime friend & songwriter, Alejandra Alberti and over some whiskey coupled with deep conversations, the melody and lyrics spilled out. Sometimes biting that forbidden fruit works out and sometimes shit happens,” says Jean Rodriguez, lead vocals.
Alberti, who co-wrote “Nadie es Santo” is a Grammy nominated artist who has penned hit singles such as: Lele Pons’ “Celoso,” Dillon Francis’ “White Boi,” and Becky G’s “Little Black Dress,” to name a few.
“No one is perfect, no one is a saint and we all essentially come from a fall in nature,” explains Danny Flores.
“Nadie Es Santo” does not give us a definitive answer as to what happens in the story, but with the next two releases we will discover what happens to these two people who reflect real life situations many of us will find relatable.
