After receiving a Latin GRAMMY nomination under the category Best Urban Music Album earlier this year, COASTCITY continues on an ascending musical trajectory reaching yet another milestone with a nomination for a GRAMMY.
Jean Rodríguez and Danny Flores came together two summers ago while working on Jean’s 3rd studio album and quickly realized the magic they were creating needed to transcend this record. After releasing debut single they decided to join forces as an artist-production duo under the name COASTCITY, originally intended to just be the title of the project.
“Countless doors have been closed on me throughout my career and this year the most important ones were finally opened. A huge thank you to the producers, songwriters, engineers, and members of the academy who understood our vision and supported our music. I’ve always listened to my heart and stuck to my art and because of that I’ve swimming upstream for bringing something different to the table. I knew one day they would understand and that day happened earlier this year with the Latin Grammy nomination and today again with a Grammy nomination. I’m so thankful and on such a high! Gracias por esto,“ affirms Jean Rodriguez.
