Urban music’s most popular emerging artist of 2019, Dalex, releases his first single of the year – bringing his unique style into the urban genre once more. With a new decade among us, the Puerto Rican artist reinvents himself and seeks to continue spreading his music worldwide. Dalex brings us the perfect collaboration with his fellow breakout reggaeton star: Sech. This new collaboration, entitled “Mejor”, is released TODAY, under Rich Music Label. It is the first single to be released from Dalex’s upcoming EP “Modo Avion” (Airplane Mode). The single is now available on all digital music platforms.
“Mejor,” produced by Dímelo Flow, demonstrates Dalex’s progression, and evolution as an artist, while it’s exciting fusion of rhythms create a whole new experience for his fans. The next urban hit, composed by Pedro David Daleccio “Dalex”, Carlos Morales “Sech”, Jorge Valdes Vasquez “Dimelo Flow”, Salomón Villada Hoyos “Feid” and Julio Manuel González Tavárez “Lenny Tavarez,” describes a woman who returns to an old flame after having had a disappointment with love. The single release is simultaneously premiered with the official music video, now available for the public to enjoy on YouTube. The audiovisual piece was under the direction of Squid and the production of Maricel Zambrano of Wildhouse Pictures. The video is characterized by its innovation, colors, art, and Dalex’s unique style, setting it apart from its competing urban projects. An abandoned plane or the rear of a cargo plane, a military-style cabin, and a couple’s room, are just a few of scenographies that were used among the production. It is definitely a video that captivates the public with its individual artistic storyline.
Dalex had a successful 2019 with the release of his debut album “CLIMAXXX” that led him to more than 31 weeks on the “Best Latin Albums” Billboard chart, reaching more than one billion streams. In addition, he participated in a collaborative album with several members of “The New Wave” of urban music. The album “Rich Music Presents: The Academy”, is composed of “The Avengers”, a pseudonym that Dalex, Sech, Feid, Justin Quiles, Dímelo Flow and Lenny Tavárez adopted from their grand friendship. Currently, the album has more than 180 million streams on Spotify, more than 20 million streams on Apple Music and more than 211 million views on YouTube since its release in October of last year, and is considered number 11 among Vibe Magazines Top 25 LatinX albums of 2019. The album also shares the list with “Climaxxx” in 24th place.
