Q: So for many being able to go live on the radio is a big thing, how did you feel the first time you went live on the air?
A: For Any Dj To Have The Opportunity To Do A Live Set For Two Hours For The First Time On The Radio Is A Huge Accomplishment. I Remember I Was Told By The Owner Of The Club Where I Was Djing At The Time That I Will Have The Chance To Mix Live For Thousands Of Listeners Like It Was Yesterday. My Hands Were Sweaty, My Heart Rate Was Like At A 1000, My Mind Went Blank For A Few Just Saying To Myself “Wow” I Would Of Never Have Thought That This Opportunity Was Going To Come So Soon Especially It Being My Birthday Weekend. For A Second I Got Tears In My Eyes For Excitement And Also Of All Of The Negative People Who Doubted Me. This Was My Chance To Prove My Self That I Am Capeable For Doing This.
Q: You work for one of the most successful radio companies in the Latin market, when you got the call that you were going to join El Zol in Miami how did you feel?
A: I Remember One Year That El Zol Had Mixes Being Played Throughout The Day In The Holidays, And I Was Saying To My Self Why Cant That Be Me? So I Sent A Message To The Pd Of El Zol And Told Him That Anytime He Needs Mixes To Please Let Me Know I Am Ready To Send Mixes Anytime He Needs Me To. So Memorial Day Weekend Came Up And The Call Came In And The Doors To This World Has Begun To Open. I Put All My Effort To Make Sure The Mixes Were On Point With The Music Selection And The Blending. Just With Me Showing My Dedication And My Postive Attitude To Learning The Pd Saw Something In Me.. Ever Since He Has Showed Me The Right Path To Becoming A Successful Radio DJ.
Q: How has working on the radio changed how you deejay and listen to music?
A: Everything Changed. From How And When To Play Songs, Making The Right Selection, Following The Policies In The Radio World, Where Most Djs Cant Follow. Djs Nowadays Only Know What Is Hot In The Streets. The Radio Showed Me Its Not About What The Hood Likes Its About What The World Likes. I Listen To El Zol Every Day From The Morning Show To Alex Sensation Throughout The Midday To El Show De La Tarde. I Pay Attention To Alex On How He Talks, And On What Music Selection He Does. I Take Notes Everyday, Even Now. And Because Of That, El Zol Has Put There Trust In Me To Continue Rocking The Airwaves.
