DJ Kiko (born Alberto Salcedo) is son of New York’s Dj Double Delight.  Djing has always been in Kiko’s blood since he was a little boy. Born in New York and raised in North New Jersey Kiko, grew up in a family filled with Dominican pride.  Kiko was exposed to Latin music on a daily basis. Whether his father was playing some Merengue from the 80’s or some Disco from the late 70’s Kiko was attached to his father’s side watching and learning the technique and the form. Over time Double Delight would have friendly inner family competitions with Kiko to see who made the better mixtapes. Kiko would often lose but always gained experience and Double Delight was always eager to drop knowledge about song selection to the young DJ. Once Kiko bought his first mixer and first pair of speakers you can say the rest is all history. Kiko has a strong appreciation for the art form of djing.

Now in the city of brotherly Love (Philadelphia) Kiko has had the pleasure of having different residencies throughout Philly.  Kiko has gained much exposure as a mobile dj as well.  Kiko thrives on the energy of the crowd whether it’s at a wedding, a sweet sixteen, or at a club.  While Kiko loves paying homage to his father and playing Latin music, Kiko also show’s his diversity when gigging.  Kiko’s open format style allows him to play for any and every crowd from the House lover, Hiphop head, and even the old school crowd.  Kiko has had the pleasure of djing at Retro’s at Cesar’s Palace in Atlantic City, Cavanaugh’s River Deck, In Philadelphia, and Club South Beach in Philadelphia to name a few places.  Kiko has been booked up and down the East Coast in different states such as Philadelphia, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia.  Kiko’s passion and determination to get better is undeniable and plans on teaching this art form to his kids the way his father did for him.
