“Modern Family” actress Elizabeth Peña died of natural causes at the age of 55 on Tuesday. The actress, who also played the sexy maid in “Down and Out in Beverly Hills” and the tough cop in “Rush Hour,” co-founded the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors, an advocacy group for Latinos in the entertainment industry. Hollywood was stunned by the news of her passing. Eva Longoria tweeted, “Rest in Peace Elizabeth Pena…you paved the way for so many of us!!” And Lou Diamond Phillips, who co-starred with Peña in the iconic film “La Bamba,” tweeted, “I am stunned and heartbroken, just found out about the passing of my friend Elizabeth Pena. She was such a life force it’s hard to believe.” “The Insider With Yahoo” spoke to Esai Morales, who was a close friend of Peña’s and had appeared with her in the Showtime series “Resurrection Blvd.” Morales said, “She’s someone I have known since my days in high school.
