J-Hope conquered the Lollapalooza 2022 stage. The BTS member was the star on the last day of the Chicago festival and, as a surprise, he invited Becky G for an exciting performance of “Chicken noodle soup”. The interpreter of “Mayores” took advantage of the occasion to praise the talent of the popular Hobi, who marked a historical milestone in Lolla.
At 28, Jung Hoseok became the first South Korean to headline a major American festival. This event was also his first live show as a solo artist.
“Chicken noodle soup” was first released in 2019 as a collaborative single by J-Hope and Becky G. The song that mixes Korean, English, and Spanish lyrics holds special significance for Latin American ARMYs, who received greetings from the Lollapalooza stage thanks to the interpreter of Mexican origin.
“Where are my Latin people?!” Becky G yelled after appearing alongside the BTS rapper. “This moment means a lot to me as an artist. I am not only honored, but also very proud of you. I am very grateful for our friendship and for this opportunity,” she emotionally expressed to J-Hope.
Days before Lollapalooza, ARMY had begun to speculate about the artist’s presence as a guest; however, Becky G tried to keep the secret with false clues on social networks.
As soon as J-Hope’s performance began, the reggaeton artist posted a photo of her on her Instagram profile as if she were watching the event at her house. Actually, at that time, she was already backstage waiting to go on stage.
On the other hand, Becky G shared behind the scenes of the show on her Instagram profile. In this video, she and J-Hope once again congratulated each other on their “CNS” performance. The BTS artist reposted the clip on stories and added the description: “My BFF.”
