Billboard is proud to announce TODAY that singer-songwriter and producer Juan Luis Guerra will take the stage as a special guest on a “Questions and Answers” panel during this year’s Billboard Latin Music Week. The internationally recognized star from the Dominican Republic will lead the session “The Legend Q & A” on Wednesday, April 24. Billboard Latin Music Week will be held at Billboard’s The Venetian in Las Vegas from April 22 to April 25.
Recognized universally as one of the greatest and most outstanding figures of Latin music, Juan Luis Guerra is widely recognized for having revolutionized bachata, traditional music of the Dominican Republic, and having taken it to the world. A guitarist, singer, composer, arranger and group director, Guerra has positioned 42 songs on Billboard Magazine’s “Hot Latin Songs” popularity list, including six number 1. On Billboard’s “Top Latin Albums,” he has placed 11 in the Top 10 and three in the position number 1.

Guerra has been recognized by the Latin Recording Arts and Sciences Academy as “Person of the Year” and was named “Latino Composer of the Year” by the BMI Latino Awards. Guerra has been awarded a variety of awards including three Grammy Awards, 21 Latin Grammys and four Billboard Awards, among many others. Over the years he has collaborated with artists such as Tony Bennet, Alejandro Sanz, Luis Fonsi, Milly Quezada, Enrique Iglesias, Emmanuel, Juanes, Miguel Bose, Maná, Diego Torres and Nelly Furtado among others. Guerra joins the panelists of 2019 previously announced Lele Pons, Wisin & Yandel, Anuel AA and the Rivera Family, with other panelists that will be announced in the coming weeks.
Now in its twenty-ninth year, the Latin Music Week presents sessions and panels of Questions and Answers, including its signature “Questions and Answers of the Star”, as well as panels that focus on “streamings”, videos, Latin collaborations and plus. Latin Music Week 2019 will include the return of the outstanding Women’s Panel, which became a catalyst for change in the Latino industry in 2018, as well as panels on broadcasts, new business models and the great panel “How I Wrote That song “by BMI.
