Latin GRAMMY-nominated vocalist and singer-songwriter Justin Quiles was crowned the King of urban music in South America by more than 240,000 spectators who attended the renowned Lollapalooza festival in Argentina and Chile.

Quiles, one of the two Puerto Rican reggeatoneros in a line up that included Miley Cyrus, The Strokes, Doja Cat, and Foo Fighters, wowed the audience with a setlist that included hit after hit, in front of euphoric audiences in the two South American countries, known for their preference for rock and their own urban style, which consists mainly of trap and rap with Anglo-Saxon influences.

Arriving in Santiago, Chile, the Caribbean superstar said: “Get ready because there is going to be a lot of perreo (the Latino version of tweaking).” An overabundance of perreo there was! Quiles took the audience of the Bicentennial Park of Cerillos, estimated at 140,000 people, on a tour of his successful musical career, performing songs like “Cristina“, “Jeans” and “Loco“. Quiles also premiered live “Envolver Remix“, his song with Brazilian phenomenon Anitta, and his newest song “Gucci Fendi“, featuring Eladio Carrión, that exceeded eight million views on Youtube in nine days.

At the San Isidro Racecourse in Buenos Aires, Justin Quiles stole the show to the point that Julian Casablancas, the lead singer of The Strokes, ended up imitating him on stage and pretending he knew how to dance reggaeton. Quiles´ perreo mega set managed to tame down the guitar reefs of the rock playing at the stage next door and thrilling his thousands of fans who sang and danced madly to each song.

Justin Quiles’ next stop will be at Webster Hall in New York, on April 7, and he will continue with his show in Washington DC, Philladelphila, and Boston. On May 1, he hit the stage at Vibra Urbana festival in Las Vegas.

On May 20, he will arrive in his native country, Puerto Rico, with a great show at the Coca-Cola Music Hall on May 20 with the participation of special guests. Tickets are on sale at ticketera.com. The show is produced by Paco López for No Limit Entertainment.
