Last night was another great night for Latin Music as we all got together and celebrated the 25th Billboards Latin Awards in Miami, Florida. Last night awards had an amazing collection of some of the best artist in Latin Music such as Juanes, Carols Vives, Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, Prince Royce, Wisin, Luis Fonsi, Franco De Vita, and many more. Last night many are also calling the return of Salsa due to Marc Anthony who took home 10 awards for his 3.0, album some of the awards included Artist of the year and Hot Latin Song, Digital Song and Latin Airplay Song of the year for “Vivir Mi Vida,” a track that spent 17 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart witch set a record for 2014.
Another big winner was Prince Royce who ended up taking 4 awards home last night for Hot Latin songs artist of the year, male and Latin Pop Songs Artist of the Year, Solo, while his single “Darte Un Beso” won Streaming song of the year. Prince Royce has been having an amazing great couple of months including his big announcement of his new partnership with Pepsi. Beside wining awards Royce also performed a new Portuguese version of “Darte Un Beso” with Brazilian artist Michele Teló witch is expected to be a big hit in the international market.
Among another performers Ricky Martin premiered his new single, “Vida,” an official track of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, complete with choreography. Ricky Martin also had a FIFA hit back in 2006 World Cup hit, “The Cup of Life,”.
It was an overall night full of surprises from new artist to legends all under one roof once again Miami felt the power of the Latin Music culture. At the end of the night my did win and lose but we all came out winners with great performances, guest celebrities and social media buzz.
