Producers Chan El Genio & Kevin ADG have done it again: “Hawaii”, the hit song performed by Maluma, took first place on the Billboard Global Excl US chart, with more than 85 million transmissions.
“We made the song in November 2019. Twelve composers, almost all from Medellín, we went to a camp in Hawaii. The house was literally three meters from the sea. So we did not imagine that it would go that far,” explained Kevin ADG.
Kevin ADG & Chan El Genio, musical producers from Medellín (Colombia) and leaders of The Rude Boyz label, have been responsible for worldwide hits such as “Chantaje”, by Shakira ft. Maluma, and from “Felices los 4”, “Corazón” and “Borró cassette”, by Maluma.
In 2018 they won the Latin Grammy with the album “Fame” and in 2017 the award The Secret Genius, Spotifiy.
Kevin ADG and Chan El Genio met in a production for fellow Colombian Reykon. Since then, The Rude Boyz is one of the great brands of the urban genre in the world.
The successful relationship with Maluma began through the singer’s aunt, very close to the producer duo. So they worked a first song with Maluma, and that’s how their professional relationship began.
