Mexican legends Maná and José José will be feted during the April 25 Billboard Latin Music Awards, presented by State Farm.
The 2013 show will be broadcast live at 7PM ET from BankUnited Center at the University of Miami in Florida.
Maná, one of the most important rock acts to come from Mexico, is to receive the Billboard Spirit of Hope Award. The special honor is in recognition of their environmental conservation and social development efforts. supported through their non-profit organization Fundacion Selva Negra (Black Forest Foundation). The rockers will play on the night.
José José, who is known to his many fans as “The Prince of Song,” will receive the Billboard Lifetime Achievement Award for a successful career that spans 50 years, and which has contributed to the development and expansion of Latin music around the globe.
The awards ceremony will also feature performances by Marc Anthony, Tito “El Bambino,” Draco Rosa, Juan Luis Guerra, Romeo Santos, Carlos Vives, Michel Telo, Paulina Rubio, Wisin y Yandel, Il Volo, Roberto Tapia, Don Omar, Daddy Yankee, Gerardo Ortíz and La Arrolladora Banda El Limón. The three-hour-long show will be hosted by the “Queen of Grupero music” Ana Barbara, telenovela leading man Juan Soler and accomplished TV personality Daniel Sarcos.
