Mega 97.9 Is Now the No.1 Hispanic Station in New York

On the most recent spring Nielsen ratings, Spanish Broadcasting System’s New York City radio station WSKQ-FM Mega 97.9 claims the No. 1 spot among all radio stations, regardless of language and format, in the Tri-State area (Metropolitan New York/ New Jersey/ Connecticut).

According to the ratings, WSKQ-FM is also the No. 1 Latino station in the nation, reaching 3 million listeners each week in June, a new 2015/2016 record for the station. Mega 97.9’s audience in the United States, in comparison with the top 10 states in America, ranked No. 5, ahead of 46 Hispanic-populated states.

Programming for the Spanish radio network includes the morning show El Vacilón de NY, Alex Sensation-La Mega Mezcla during daytime and El Jukeo NYC in the afternoon slot.

SBS operates radio stations in the top U.S. Hispanic markets, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami.
