Mozart La Para, the leader of the urban music movement in the Dominican Republic, was recognized this week by YouTube for reaching more than 1 million subscribers in his channel, becoming the first Dominican urban artist to achieve such an achievement.
For received the plaque during the event Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey: Neighborhood Flavor which recognized seven influential people in the Hispanic community in the area of music, art, culture, film, business and cuisine.
During the evening, the Dominican singer delighted the audience with his most famous songs such as “Bye bye”, “Primero Que Kanye”, “Lo Montro”, “Pa Gozar”, “Wanna Get High”, among others.
In addition, this Saturday, May 26, Mozart La Para culminates his series of presentations on the east coast of the United States, with a show at Salsa con Fuego in New York City.
Mozart La Para is currently working on his debut album, which is scheduled to be released later this year. It should be mentioned that the urban artist, who is an icon in his native Dominican Republic and has a massive following of young people who see him as both a musical and personal inspiration, was recently honored with the “Premio Soberano del Público” for the sixth consecutive year and the award for “Best Artist or Urban Group” at the Premios Soberano.
