The program was announced on the Instagram page of Netflix Latin America. Reggaeton stars Yandel, Lex, Tainy, Nicki Nicole and Rauw Alejandro announced in Spanish that they are looking for the next urban music star to join La Firma.

According to the video, it is the first time that Netflix has opened a casting call in Spanish and potential stars can submit a casting video on netflix-tebusca.com. The search will take place throughout the United States, Latin America, and Spain, with finalists competing in Miami, FL.

To be eligible, applicants must be US citizens or have a valid visa, be over the age of 18, and not plan to run for public office in the next year.
