Mama sushi has become an over night sensation since it first open its doors allowing their costumers to indulged and enjoy the magical fusion of the Japanese and hispanic culture , Mama Sushi located at 237 Dyckman St, New York, NY 10040 renovated their location in 2013 and ever since its doors have cater to hundreds of clients who remain loyal to their Japanese dishes with a dash of hispanic culture until this day. Platano, steak, chicken, salami, queso so on and so forth, rolled into sushi rolls was definitely something creative and different that I personally haven’t experienced in any other sushi restaurant in new york.
Whether you are looking for a small romantic dinner of a small gathering of friends mama sushi is the perfect spot for fun and simplicity. Their dishes are decorated beautifully from appetizers to beautiful fresh made to order sushi these dishes are definitely to die for!. Asides from their fabulous atmosphere and their delicious trendy dishes mama sushi offers a variety of delicious drinks like mojitos and pitchers of delicious sangria among other alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages they also offer hooka services upon request however this was one of the services I disliked the most since it took the waitress 45 minutes to bring our hookas, aside from the fact that is a very small place perfect for a small gathering or group of friends mama sushi offers the advantage to be near the A and 1 train line as well as the M100 bus I barely have any complaints about the restaurant aside the fact that is a very small place and their hooka services not only took long and it was billed in a completely different besides this little not so positive pointers about this sushi restaurant I enjoy my simple night outs on the town in this small but warm place of comfort Japanese hispanic food.
