With Disney / Pixar leading the sales charts in half the world thanks to the song of their movie Encanto (as Frozen did a few years ago), it is clear that music is an increasingly important aspect within the animation factory and they are making a real effort to raise the bar. That is why Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas have been the last to collaborate with the company’s new feature film.

The two American composers have gone one step further in their usual musical proposal and have brought to life a song inspired by the boy bands of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. 4 Town will be the performers of their songs in the movie Turning Red, which we have already been able to enjoy at the premiere of Nobody like u.

We are just a couple of weeks away from the premiere of the film in the main theaters around the world and we must step on the accelerator to promote the film on all possible fronts. And having Billie and Finneas Eilish it would have been a mistake not to have taken advantage of it.

“When we started talking to Billie Eilish and FINNEAS, before they won millions of Grammy Awards, we knew they were going to make a splash. We were huge fans. We met with them and pitched this wacky boy band idea. I’d be interested in writing and producing the songs. They really wanted to!” confesses producer Lindsey Collins.

This is how a collaboration was forged that will surely allow us to enjoy the compositions and production of the two Eilish brothers in one of their first collaborations with Hollywood after the success of the No time to die soundtrack, the latest installment in the Bond saga, for which he won the Oscar for Best Original Song.

The two brothers have worked side by side on the composition of new songs that will be part of this project through the fictional boy band 4 Town, a nod to NSync, one of the biggest bands in history in the United States. In addition, Finneas will voice one of the characters named Jesse within that musical quintet of boys along with Jordan Fisher, Topher Ngo, Josh Levi and Grayson Villanueva.

The film that will come with 3 new songs by Billie and Finneas Eilish (1 True Love, Nobody like u and U Know What’s Up) will be released on March 11, 2022 with Domee Shi as director and screenwriter after passing through films such as Del Upside Down, Arlo’s Journey, The Incredibles 2 or Toy Story 4.
