San Juan police were notified by a neighbor who heard screams. Linda Viera Caballero was found in her boyfriend’s residence and was rushed to the hospital where she was diagnosed with a broken nose and a hematoma on her forehead with internal bleeding
Javier Padilla González was detained for investigation of which police suspect domestic violence is involved in this case. The suspect also has scratches on his face and it is known the couple has had past domestic violence incidents. Although La India has denied she was beaten by her boyfriend, he remains under arrest until investigated. She stated she was attacked by gringos.
La India of age 44 has recorded 10 albums so far that include popular hits “Sedúceme”, “Dicen que soy”, “Mi mayor venganza”, “Vivir Lo Nuestro”, “Qué te pedí”, “Si vuelves tú” just to name a few performed on March 17 at the 30th annual National Salsa Day in San Juan, Puerto Rican.
La India is scheduled to perform in Chicago this weekend and in Tampa, Fla. on April 6.
