RVFV and Rels B, first artists confirmed for an event to be held on June 25 and expected to bring together 10,000 people.
A new musical event will brighten the start of summer in Roquetas de Mar. It is Salinas Sound Festival, a new and ambitious event that will celebrate its inaugural edition on June 25, 2022 with a lineup of national and international urban music stars.
Reggaeton, Hispanic hip-hop, Latin pop and the fusion of trap with flamenco will sound at a great 10-hour festival to be held near the Antonio Peroles soccer field on the first weekend of the summer season.
Salinas Sound was born as an initiative of a group of Almerian businessmen who in 2020 set out to create the first urban rhythm festival in the province in Roquetas de Mar. Its vision is to create a powerful cultural magnet to enrich the tourist offer of the municipality and connect with the most popular musical genre among millennials and Generation Z. The launch of the brand was a success and they sold several thousand tickets, but the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic forced them to put the project on hold for two years.
Now, Salinas Sound is reborn with the aim of placing the rock municipality on the map of the great musical events in Spain. The organization has guaranteed the celebration of the festival on the first Saturday of the summer, and its hiring team is working hard to finalize a high-impact artistic poster. In the next few days, the signing of one of the world’s biggest reggaeton stars could be announced. Opening a gap among the young public -between 18 and 30 years old-, the festival will contribute to diversifying the sun and beach tourist proposal of Roquetas de Mar and the whole region of Poniente Almeriense. The promoter of Salinas Sound plans for the event to grow year after year over the next five years until it becomes a reference event at the national level. For this first edition, the goal is around 10,000 attendees.
For now, Salinas Sound has already announced two artists on their social networks. The first is from the house. This is RVFV, from Almería, one of the favorites on the national urban scene with his sincere and vindictive trap. And the second is Rels B, a rapper from Palma de Mallorca who jumped to stardom with the song ‘A mí‘ in 2019, a real hit that already exceeds 300 million views on YouTube.
Tickets for Salinas Sound went on sale in early March and the first batch at promo prices has already sold out. At this time, they are sold at 27 euros, although there are also VIP tickets for 50 euros and various forms of luxury category.
