Romeo Santos is known worldwide as the King of Bachata, but the artist has shown that he can also perform in other musical genres.
The American singer of Puerto Rican and Dominican descent took the stage during a Christian Nodal concert at the FTX Arena in Miami this Friday, to perform a ranchera before hundreds of people for the first time in his career.
“Tonight for the first time I sang a live ranchera. Thank you Christian Nodal for the invitation. Thank you Edgar Barrera for orchestrating this meeting ”, he wrote on Instagram when sharing a fragment of the performance.
In his publication, Romeo Santos did not forget to thank the country where this musical genre comes from and also Nodal: “Thank you, dear Mexico, for the applause of him in these 23 years of experience.”
During the presentation of Christian Nodal in Miami, a complete sold out, his fans were able to enjoy “Me extraño”, the song with Romeo Santos that is part of the latter’s most recent album.
The song premiered last October and although it was a surprise that the singer strayed from the bachata to which he has accustomed his audience, the video clip already has more than eight million views on YouTube.
The new record production of the King of Bachata, Formula Vol. 3, is his fifth studio album and came out at the beginning of last September.
On this album he also included collaborations with other artists such as Justin Timberlake, the Spanish Rosalía, the Dominican rapper Lápiz Conciente and other solo songs.
The album has been very well received by the followers of Romeo Santos, for which he was very grateful.
