Delta Carolina Mercado best known by her stage name Delta C, Is a singer born & raised in Washington Heights, NY. She grew up imitating Selena & Shakira. Artist such as Christina Aguilera, JoJo, & Jennifer Lopez influenced Delta to pursue her career in the Music Industry. As a teenager Delta began singing in Church which helped her to learn about stage presence & audience interaction. While attending Performance Conservatory High School in the Bronx, Delta met and later began to work with vocal coach and Opera Singer Lillian Channelle. In 2012, Delta stopped singing due do lack of support. However, 5 years later Delta returned to the bright lights and stage that she once craved. Her career took a turn in 2017 when she met producer BeatzAkademy and received support from Artist “Andre Veloz“. Delta then entered to compete in the singing competition “Voz de NY” produced by Mairobin Caraballo of Telemundo fame.
She made it to the Semi Finals and following her elimination from the competition Delta worked all of 2018 to launch herself as a New Latin Urban Artist. This required major preparation with the help of family & friends including Actress Katherine Muñeton, Executive Producer of Omni Cultural Fest Mr. Juan Mora & Mauricio Vega Founder and Executive Producer of Latin Plug. March 2019, Delta released her first single titled “Me Prendi” a Latin Trap record that was co-written by Artist Eddysander “La Melodia” and Produced by Alex the Producer. With 11K Views on YouTube and performances on La Mega 97.9 FM and Monster Energy Stages at the 116th Street Puerto Rican Festival Delta- C has proven that she belongs. In July of 2019, Delta C secured a recording contract with Patrone Konnections Latin Division. in 2019, several months after securing her recording contract Delta C under the mentorship of Patrone Konnections CEO Felix Alvarez launched her own talent management company as ‘Delta C Management” with the purpose of developing artists. None of this could be possible without the support of her younger sister Denisse Mercado who pushed Delta to believe that she is much more then just talent.
