An invitation to dance while betting on romance is what the Dominican interpreter The Change presents in her single “Ibiza”, which premieres today.
The catchy theme serves as a sign of the singer’s interest in experimenting with new musical fusions and her intention to bring fresh sounds to her repertoire.
“Ibiza” has the collaboration of the Dominican urban exponent Kiko El Crazy and narrates a dynamic of seduction between both protagonists, as well as the desire to enjoy the moment betting on the connection that unites them. The title is inspired by the nightlife that characterizes the Spanish city, renowned for its famous nightclubs and the notoriety of its electronic music.
“Glad that Kiko El Crazy got on this topic. I wanted him to be the first person from my country that I worked with. Happy that he agreed to give life to this idea, ”says the singer-songwriter Carmen Cambiaso, her real name.
After the first session with Kiko El Crazy, The Change felt they were missing a more electronic sound. She immediately knew that the electronic touches would be complemented by the work of the famous Chilean-Swiss producer, Luciano.
The music video was directed by Gara and shows the performers in a nightclub setting, motivated by dancing and the desire to have a good time. The Change and Kiko El Crazy filmed their takes in Miami, Florida, while Luciano recorded his part in Spain.
“Ibiza” is available on the main digital music platforms. The theme will be part of the album that The Change plans to release this year and that will include fusions with alternative, pop, reggaeton and tropical rhythms.
“I’m not in a hurry to get there, so I’m enjoying the trip and the affection of my people, whom I thank for being part of my life,” adds the artist.
In May, the singer premiered “Cicatrices”. “Imperio”, which exceeds 18 million views on Spotify, and hits such as “Niña de mis ojos”, “Pa’ ti” and “Hora loca Remix” highlight her interest in making a mark in music.
