Tropical music shone again last weekend at “Latin Music Tours 2022” held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino resort in Punta Cana.
The event, organized by Quepe Tours, highlighted bachata, merengue, salsa and urban music in a party that began on Thursday and ended at dawn on Sunday.
On Thursday, on the first night at the Filmore Hall, the tipico Urbanda and Banda Real performed from 10:00, followed by the swing of Los Hermanos Rosario, to close “La noche dominicana” on the first day of Latin with romantic merengues and dance pieces by Fernando Villalona, El Mayimbe”.
The second musical download, on Friday, started with the most anticipated of the 21st edition of the event, the urban singer Rochy RD, with one of his first presentations after leaving Najayo prison.
Rochy delighted the young people of Latin America with his songs “Millonario”, “Bobo de Verdad”, “Alta gama” and “Tell your friend”, among others, accompanied by the hubbub of the public.
Urban was followed by Wason Brazobán with his “cortavenas” songs “La mujer que a mí me gusta”, “La mala”, “Mi Reina”, “Qué vida” and “En un solo día”, all sung by the ladies, followed by Ala Jazá and the merengues “Es mi vida” and some “covers” by Sergio Vargas and Alex Bueno.
The second night ended with the Puerto Rican Cosculluela and El Chaval de la Bachata from the country.
On Saturday afternoon, the beach area received on a giant platform by the seashore the urban El Mayor Clásico and the merengue players Miriam Cruz and Jandy Ventura, between sun and sand, mixed with the “pinches” of some DJs.
On the same Saturday night, the party returned to the Filmore Hall for the farewell of the “Latin Music Tours 2022” to the rhythm of salsa that began with the Dominican salsero Luis Gálvez and his versions of the songs “I wanted”, “Looking for your kisses” , “When you are with him” and “Don’t be afraid of him”.
The turn of the also Creole José Alberto “El Canario” exhausted him with his hits “Bailemos Otra vez”, “Desesperado”, “Mis amores”, “Excuse me, lady” and “I dream of you”.
From Colombia, the popular Grupo Niche pleased salsómaniacs from 12:25 p.m. with La negra no quiero”, “An adventure”, “Whatever the heart says”, “Don’t cry anymore”, and I’m thinking”.
Salsero Tony Vega came up at 1:45 to sing “Esa mujer”, “Ella es”, “La carnada”, by Braulio García, a tribute to maestro Willy Rosario, to say goodbye at 3:00 in the morning with “ We will make love”, by Xiomara Alfaro, “Oneself” and “Apparently”.
