The urban singer HOZWAL today launched his first musical production in EP format entitled La Burla.
La Burla was the result of confinement due to the COVID-19 pandemic, when the Puerto Rican vocalist took the opportunity to dedicate himself to composing, producing, and recording his new material.
“We couldn’t sit idly by, so we turned the situation around and focused squarely on getting this production out, which is something we’ve wanted to do for a long time,” said HOZWAL, 20.
From this album comes the single “He Yes, You No”, which he performs with Nio García, and which is already playing on digital platforms and social networks. In this theme, HOZWAL left his comfort zone of street style and bet on a romantic and sensual proposal, which is about a love triangle. With an explicit but “elegant” lyric, HOZWAL bet – and won – the love of a new audience for him.
The video of the promotional cut was released two weeks ago on YouTube, and it already has almost 2 million views.
“We are stuck, thank God and my followers, who have made this issue their own. I am very happy with the reception, and I hope you like the other songs as much as this one ”, said the Puerto Rican exponent of the new generation of urban music.
In this record production, HOZWAL worked hand in hand with Dante La Movie, El Shak Producing, Xound, Big Chris, Draco, Cromox, Janka “La Bestialidad” and Yecko in the production of the songs.
The EP also includes the songs “Normal” and “Givenchi” that he interprets alone, “Capéalo” in collaboration with Pusho, “Never We Lower Him” with Harry Nach and “Tú Me Llamas” with Juanka El Problematik, a reggaeton provocative and direct lyrics, with notes of sensuality and fun,
whose music video premieres today.
Directed by Abez Media and filmed in Puerto Rico, the video shows HOZWAL falling in love with the girl who he supposes to be his ex, but that although “she has a new life” and “has a new boyfriend” she always calls him and returns to him.
On the other hand, the artist is preparing for his first live presentation since the coronavirus emergency was decreed, at the Baja Beach Fest on August 13, in Mexico. Figures such as Anuel AA, J Balvin and Ozuna will also perform there. His plans for this year also include an international promotional tour in which he intends to include Europe, Central and South America.
HOZWAL is passionate about rap who became known since his teens. Since launching him as a professional urban music singer, he has stood out for his versatility and desire not to be boxed into one style.
That quality has given him the opportunity to shine in countless musical collaborations, among which stand out his meetings with Jay Wheeler on “Qué De Los Dos” (2.2 million views on YouTube); Jon Z in “Mango” (2.2 million views); Darell on “All Star” (1.6 million views); Mike Tower, Miky Woodz and Ñengo Flow in “Contamos y Guerreamos” (1.1 million views); and his participation in the tribute theme “Guardian Angel”, presented by the China Media Group, in honor and gratitude to health workers for their dedication in the COVID-19 pandemic.
The single included the collaboration of interpreters Willlie Gómez from the Dominican Republic, Yamila Terry from Cuba, Sofía Vicente from Argentina, Eli Rosex from Spain and Viva Deng Yin from China.
