The Latin Recording Academy has extended its pact with Univision to televise the Latin Grammy Awards for another six years. The 13th Latin Grammys will air live on the network Nov. 15 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Vegas. The expanded deal for the show also includes development of new Latin Grammys specials to be announced. Awards segued to Univision in 2005 after four airings on CBS. Latin Recording Academy prexy-CEO Gabriel Abaroa Jr. said, “For the past seven years, the Latin Grammys and Univision have consistently collaborated to bring viewers unique and dynamic musical performances from today’s talented Latin musicians from around the world. We are extremely proud of our consistent growth, which is reflected in the success we have achieved, and we look forward to the next six years of our expanding partnership.” Last year’s three-hour Latin Grammys broadcast delivered an average aud of 5.7 million total viewers for Univision; the network was No. 1 for the night among adults 18-34 for the second consecutive year.
