Souffrain Will Be Responsible For Latin Content and Strategy And Oversee The Sourcing And Development Of Relationships Across The Latin Music Landscape
It was announced today by Co-Founder and CMO of audiomack,David Ponte, that Maximo “Max Escobar” Souffrain Jr. has been named to the newly created position of Director of Marketing and Latin Strategy. In his new role, Souffrain will be responsible for Latin content and strategy and lead the sourcing and development of relationships across the expansive Latin music landscape. Souffrain will be based out of the Audiomack New York offices and will report directly to Ponte.
Tasked with building and expanding Audiomack’s reach across various Latin countries and markets, Souffrain is introducing the just-released Spanish version of the Audiomack app. The 4.3 version of the Latin-friendly app has already garnered support from musicians that include Don Omar, Tempo, Jon Z, Bulova, MelyMel,and La Insuperable.
Audiomack will kick off their outreach in the Dominican Republic with an unprecedented on-the-ground campaign led by Souffrain that includes a promotional tour and news conference on February 21 at the Epic Center Blue Mall in Santo Domingo at 6:30 PM (local time). Artists scheduled to attend include El Alfa, Bulova, Chimbala, Musicólogo, Don Miguelo, La Insuperable, Omega El Fuerte and many more in support of Audiomack’s Spanish language localization and Latin-focused efforts. In addition to the promotional tour, Souffrain just launched Audiomack’s new Latin content series, Prende La Cabina.

Most recently, Souffrain was the Vice President of Konvict Latino, the Latin division to the Akon-owned company, Konlive. During his time there he played an instrumental role in the signing of global superstar Omega El Fuerteto the label. Additionally, he is the former manager of DJ Anthony Rey (Univision) and executive produced the mixtape Enero 6 by rapper Chacka, that debuted at No. 11 on the Apple iTunes chart.
