Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz Celebrate 50th Anniversary with Tribute Album To Joe Arroyo

This year, the legendary Salsa duo of Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz is celebrating their 50 anniversary. Besides the concerts that have been scheduled to mark this celebration, the duo is about to release a new album honoring the music of the prolific singer and songwriter Joe Arroyo.

The upcoming album, which is entitled Para Siempre: Homenaje A Una Leyenda features some of the best Salsa and tropical songs recorded by the legendary Colombian artist including tracks such as “Pa’l Bailador,” “La Rebelion” and “Por Ti No Morire.” The new album will hit the Latin music market on February 26.

Since the early 1960s, Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz have forged one of the most unique and creative sounds in Salsa music. From the Latin Boogaloo fever to the consolidation of Salsa during the 1970s, these two artists have written one of the most important chapters in the history of the genre. The following are some of the duo’s upcoming concerts.
