“I’m never going to get used to that connection I have with you guys.” The King of Bachata remembered when he first heard one of his songs on the radio.
Romeo Santos is sweeping his new record production, Formula Vol.3, a bachata album that has several collaborations and many singles that his fans have on loop. Something that the singer himself was able to feel on his last trip to the Dominican Republic, where when visiting two of the island’s beaches he realized that many of the boats that were on the coast were playing songs from his latest album.
The emotion he felt realizing how much people connect with his music he compared to the moment he first heard one of his songs on the radio 27 years ago. And yes, it was the same.
“I remember how yesterday, 27 years ago, I heard a song of mine for the first time on the radio. I ran to my mother, excited. ‘Mommy, they are playing my song at the station.’ Then I called my dad. Recently I was in the Dominican Republic and I went to two different places on two days, two beaches. There were many boats, several boats parked in the sea and almost all of them were playing Formula Vol. Dominican origins.
“I’m never going to get used to that connection I have with you. Better said: that my music has with you,” added the interpreter of “Indecent Proposal” or “You’re mine”, who thanked all his fans and announced that this is only the beginning. What is Romeo Santos planning?
Hours after the bachatero made this confession on social networks celebrating the success of his album, Billboard published that the artist is at the top of the Billboard Tropical Albums list with Formula Vol.3. In addition, it is in second place in the Top Latin Albums behind Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti.
