Bachata king Romeo Santos stopped by “Sesame Street” to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
He performed a new, original and bilingual song called “Quiero Ser Tu Amigo” (“I Want to Be Your Friend”) with a little help from Elmo. The song, which appeared on the October 10 broadcast, is about making friends and shining in your own skin without any fears or insecurities.
In the clip, you see Elmo walking around on a basketball a bit sad because he has no friends. Santos shows up singing and inspiring Elmo to keep his head up and sending the message that making friends isn’t that hard. Since the song is bilingual, we even get to here Elmo have a crack at singing in Spanish.
