The puertorriqueño duo de reguetón de Wisin y Yandel announced this group that joins as co-owner of los Criollos de Caguas, the maximum champions of the Liga de Béisbol Profesional Roberto Clemente (LBPRC) of Puerto Rico.
New music joins sports to give youth a high-profile and entertainment show, according to a press release sent by representatives of the “Dúo de la História” call from the reguetón.
This agreement aims to unite efforts to contribute both in the competitive area of sport and in social responsibility, adds the text.
According to information, the work team of Wisin and Yandel has been in conversations since the end of 2019 with the management of the Criollos, and when the pandemic unfortunately dilated the process, they managed to reach an agreement before the start of this new season.
The details of the agreement are stipulated under a confidentiality agreement, according to the statement.
With this announcement by Wisin and Yandel, urban artists would then join the management of a team from the LBPRC, after Daddy Yankee announced the last season with the Cangrejeros de Santurce.
Los Criollos, who started this past week with their training facing the new season that begins at the beginning of November, have won 20 championships in the Puerto Rican winter league and five titles in the Serie del Caribe.
In addition to Daddy Yankee and Wisin and Yandel, other urban artists who have been involved in sports leagues in Puerto Rico are Bad Bunny with the Cangrejeros de Santurce and Ozuna with the Bones of Manatí in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional.
